Classroom Management

feno memeMy classroom management is based on the idea that building a good rapport with students is first and foremost.  Additionally, clear expectations, consistent implementation, and consequences are a must!

My classroom management plan for Art classes:

Expectations:

1. Arrive on time prepared for class, sit down and start working.

2. Be a worker. Create your own work without copying from published photos or artwork.

3. Know and practice procedures for a safe working environment.

4. Respect others and property. Use your art to vent rather than angry words or actions that might be misinterpreted as disrespect.

5. Use technology as directed, or by permission.

6. Take care of all art materials and use tools as demonstrated.

7. Clean up, last 5 minutes; sit down when you are done.

Consequences:

1. Warning

2. Teacher/Student conference

3. Action Plan

4. Parent Contact

5. Parent Meeting

6. Office Referral

All severe offenses will automatically receive an office referral.

I believe a sense of humor goes a long way, too!!
